Untamed and wonderfully free, with no specific sign nor guards, this waterfall offers a truly adventurous experience!
Janda Mandi Waterfall are located around 15 - 20 minutes drive from Kuantan, located in the Bukit Gemuk roadside.
The Legends
There’s small village 10 minutes from the waterfall, but the locals are not too sure on why peoples named it as Janda Mandi Waterfall (english: Bathing Widows Waterfall), but some believe that it’s started when some widow started felt threated when they took a bath in the common river around them, hence, they decided to move to a more secluded place together to take a bath in the waterfall, but the rest of the story were went missing.
What’s to Expect?
The waterfall itself is connected with a beautiful beach, so all the water pouring down right to the sea and if you’re lucky,you can see a rainbows.
According to the locals, The waterfall is most impressive during the rainy season, when water flow is abundant, but during the dry season, you may find little or no water in the waterfall, Fortunately, the location also features a beach with gentle waves, providing an alternative for swimming, so you can swim here at your own risk.
How to get there
Hence, the only way to go back and forth to this location is only possible via private vehicle, rental car/bike, or by pre-booking a local taxi, or you can try to negotiate with the local taxi driver to pick you up after.
